Former La Palma Police Officer and 25+ year resident Andrew Kim is running for City Council to bring accountable leadership, transparent government, and practical solutions to the future of La Palma.
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
La Palma is more than just the city where I grew up. It is home. It is the community that shaped my values, my education, and my commitment to public service.
As a former La Palma Police Officer and current Public Safety Administrator serving another community, I have spent my career working in public safety, government operations, and community service. My experiences both inside and outside of La Palma have given me a unique perspective on the challenges facing our city and the type of leadership residents deserve.
During my time serving La Palma, I saw opportunities to improve public safety, traffic safety, organizational accountability, and long-term planning. I worked on projects and research focused on identifying solutions and strengthening the community. Those experiences reinforced my belief that government must be willing to listen, adapt, and continuously improve in order to properly serve its residents.
In recent years, many residents have become increasingly concerned about the direction of the city, leadership decisions, accountability, and public trust in local government. I share those concerns. I believe residents deserve transparent leadership that welcomes ideas, addresses problems proactively, and puts the community first.
I am running for La Palma City Council because I believe our city needs thoughtful, accountable, and forward-thinking leadership focused on protecting the character of our community while preparing responsibly for the future.
My campaign is about bringing practical solutions, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and community-focused leadership back to City Hall. Most importantly, it is about ensuring that residents always have a voice in the future of La Palma.
Together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more accountable La Palma.
